We are a club around Lake Fork, Texas.  New members, men and women, are welcome; you should have your own boat.  For more information email jeffdavis@texastrailsbassmasters.com

On Monday morning, August 25th, I was informed that Joe Axton, founder and proprietor of Axton's Bass City, has passed away.  A viewing will be held Wednesday, August 27th, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home in Rockwall.  The funeral will be Thursday at 11:00 at the funeral home and burial will be at the National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.  Click here for obituary and other information.  The Texas Trails Bassmasters extends condolences to Joe's family and many friends.  Joe was a great friend to anglers, Lake Fork, and the men and women serving our country in uniform.  RIP.

The next club tournament will be Saturday, September 20th at Lake Tawakoni out of the ramp at the east side of the Two Mile bridge.  The next meeting will be Thursday, September 11th at Jordan's Coffee Creek Marina (note location change) starting at 6:30 p.m.  This meeting is especially important since we will elect officers for 2008 - 2009 and revise our Bylaws and Tournament Rules.  This is also a great time for new members to join.  Our first tournament of the 2008 - 2009 season will be in November.

Jack White added this nice kicker to his limit at Bob Sandlin in August to take big bass and first place in the  tournament.
